Novel Writer now includes memory produced by manual edits in token budget accounting. Manual chapter edits, fact extraction, and version-memory storage all leave workflow artifacts, so the budget view needs to count manual_edit, memory_patch_extract, and version_memory together.
Another change adds scene-scope guardrails to continuation prompts. When the instruction is a local action such as swimming in a river, entering a room, talking, searching, or chasing, the prompt keeps the action inside the current chapter, place, and time range by default. Large-scale movement only happens when the instruction explicitly asks for travel, relocation, or a broader geographical change.
